Data Center
The Digital Medical and Health Mission Group at Phra Pokklao Hospital, Chanthaburi, was established to manage computer systems and information networks, and to ensure the rapid and efficient transmission of medical information. Its main mission is to develop software and oversee the hospital's computer network system to ensure its smooth operation and functionality according to the needs of hospital users. Currently, the Digital Medical and Health Mission Group plans and designs appropriate information systems that meet user needs. A Technology System Development Committee is responsible for planning and developing systems to link hospital information systems for efficient data sharing. The group has developed its own HIS PPK11 software system and web applications, and also procures suitable programs from external sources (outsourcing) for internal hospital use. It is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the computer network and related equipment, as well as providing training to Digital Medical and Health Mission Group personnel and hospital users in collaboration with the Human Resource Development Group to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to use the programs efficiently and securely.
Main duties
1. Infrastructure & Network Management Responsible for overseeing all hospital hardware and network systems to ensure 24/7 system operation. Data Center Management: Manages servers, data storage systems, and backup systems. Network & Connectivity: Manages the internal network (LAN), wireless (Wi-Fi), and high-speed internet connectivity. Hardware Support: Repairs and maintains computer equipment, printers, and other peripherals throughout the hospital. 2. Hospital Information System (HIS) Maintenance While the Digital Health Group handles policy direction, the Technology Group remains the primary operational unit for technical aspects. Database Management: Maintains the stability and fast accessibility of the hospital's main database (HIS Database). Software Deployment: Installs and updates various software systems, including bug fixing. System Integration: Connects technical systems between departments, such as linking data between laboratories (LIS) and radiology centers (PACS) with the main system. 3. Cybersecurity (Cybersecurity) This is considered the most important mission today, to prevent data leaks and ransomware attacks. Security Policy: Defines and controls user access to information (User Access Control). Threat Monitoring: Monitors network intrusions and installs protection systems such as firewalls and antivirus. Compliance: Operates in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and the Cybersecurity Act. 4. User Support and Services (Helpdesk & Service Support) This is the front-line unit that provides immediate problem-solving services to medical personnel. Troubleshooting: Resolves basic computer and information system problems. IT Asset Management: Maintains an IT equipment inventory (Hardware Inventory) and plans the procurement of computer supplies.

Mission of Phra Pokklao Hospital: To provide advanced, specialized medical services for patient care and rehabilitation, using state-of-the-art medical personnel, medical science, and technology, and a quality service system that meets the standards of a quality hospital under the Ministry of Public Health and international standards.
To create knowledge, conduct research, and develop innovations for continuous improvement of service systems, and to disseminate this knowledge for the development of network services within the health region, achieving medical service standards that enable the provision of quality, comprehensive, continuous care for cancer, heart disease, and surgical patients, and reducing disparities in access to services.
To enhance the health literacy of the public, civil society, and all stakeholders in managing their own health and empowering them to collaboratively manage health threats in their families and communities, leading to a well-being society.
To promote and support the development of medical and public health personnel and the development of patient care and rehabilitation within health networks, civil society networks, and partner networks both within and outside the public health system, to foster participation in service delivery and drive the mission of providing effective and efficient patient care and management.
To develop the hospital into a high-performing, quality, ethical organization that is modern with information technology, digital technology, and the ability to adapt to change.
